Is there a way in Windows using C # to record a sample of stereo mix?
In other words, record all pings, beeps and music are being played through any application? I have seen that the microphone will be recorded as a source, but I can not understand how it is pointing to the stereo mix of Windows?
Or, if someone knows, how to target and record any signal from a specific application of sound? For this I am only worried about Vista or Windows 7 because both the above operating systems support the mix of different applications - so I was not sure that there was a way to tap into it.
I also saw WINMM and COREDLL, but I am losing a bit.
I think before you activate the stereo mix device in the control panel, you record it from Should be able to See this MSDN thread.
