Erlang: What's a good way to automatically assign node names? -

I have an EC 2 based cluster that can develop and shrink on the will and will not be any node in any way Neither do I want them to sync their names with any other nodes. Because I want to use an image and want to spin them as needed, so I do not want to work hard. I think nodes have names to communicate, though. What is a good strategy for a name automatically and dynamically at the start script time?

Use Uuidgen , or equivalent API if your shell scripting language < Code> (ba) sh is not. If you do not want to see a single quote around the node name, replace - with _ and add a prefix, just because the first letter is decimal decimals.

(Sorry, if I am telling the obvious, but ...) If you want to find the node, get the initial code to publish the node in a service service node.
