I like to add some sorting to compile an object that is connected to item control (in xaml). I just want to do this just as much as possible. It appears that this is not possible.
If I wrap the collection inside the unit in the "Sorted" version of the archive property, then I lose the archive notifications. I can not use Collections Visasource because the binding list selection of the entity's collection does not support sorting for some convergent reasons ( Note: I have seen the blog post with the "dirty" hack, So please, please
Is there a simple way to get it (two lines of xaml, some lines of code, whatever)?
EntityCollection type not directly filtered or sorted It is a common LINQ-to-unit problem, see:
When you need data, and put additional performance hits, then sort a solution unit collection separately If you are working with a collection that you expect to be used small and / or sometimes, the difference in processing time may be negligible.
If you want to do any sort of database sorting and Use index, you can project the main unit with child organizations. Alex James has posted an example in his MSDN blog: You are certainly not limited to the anonymous type.
