Sometimes, reading some of the names and statistics requires some serious insertion work, Is there a way to read a specific data type? Like the good old FSNF in C?

I do not know that That's what you are looking for, but there are many facilities to help you read many lengthy and delimited text files in the library.

If you are looking for files are strongly typed with files, Should look into the structure. These allow you to save the object state in a file and read them later.
