In Visual Studio 2008, I have a solution with many projects for each project to debug "... Bin \ debug \ "Has the same build output path and" .. bin .. release "for release.
Then the directory structure looks like this:
solution \ bin \ project1 \ project2 \ project3 \
all this works fine When I create the project, all the assemblies go to the right place.
Hughwor, when I open the solution in Visual Studio for the first time, the empty bin folder is made up of one level from where it should be.
So I'm getting:
bin \ solution \ bin \ project1 \ project2 \ project3 \
this folder is only then When I open the first solution Anytime i build
I have looked through .sln and every .csproj file, and I can not understand why this folder is being created.
So, my questions are: a) Why is this bin folder being created? B) How do I stop building this studio with this bin folder?
Update - 30 September 2010: Visual Studio 2008 (Visual Studio 2008) from Visual Studio 2008 Renewal of this problem has been solved completely.
This unusual behavior was taking place because I have 'XML documentation file' project build properties. An empty bin folder is being created by unchecking the 'XML document file'. Still do not know why this was happening, because the XML document was set on the path similar to the file location assembly output path, but whatever I did was 'XML documentation file' Checked out, I always end up with a level of empty bin directory from the actual bin folder.
