I am using a glossary package in latex. I have found \ GLS {foo}
in my document, but I do not want to enter the "foo" dictionary to appear in the dictionary. How can I put a work (i.e. expansion) \ gls {foo}
is the main part of my document, but the entry of "foo" from the dictionary edit
in the outside Do: I want to use the \ gls {foo}
to indicate in this document with this specific meaning of "foo" as used here. "In some cases, however, I have ended up with a" foo "whose definition is very clear - or difficult - to make it clear in the glossary.
So let me call it \ gls {foo }
is normally to be expanded, but I do not want to enter "foo" to display in the dictionary.
I hope this is a bit about what I am trying to do Adds more information to complete. It may be misused, but while writing technical documents, I always find it helpful to make sure that I am using the same word and correct word.
You can use the glossaries
package you can create a ""
\ Documentclass {} article \ usepackage {glossary} \ newglossary [glignoredl] {ignored} {glignored} {glignoredin} {ignored Badlivy} \ makeglossaries \ newglossaryentry {foofoo} {name = {fOOFOO}, description = {foofoo stuff}} \ newglossaryentry {foo} {= {FOO}, type = {ignored}, description = {a good description}} \ Newglossaryentry {time} {name = {time}, description = {time of stuff}} \ start name {document} Here is a \ GLS {Foo} which is \ gls {bar}, but of course it is also a \ Gls {foofoo}. Why not consider buying a \ gls {foo}? \ Printglossary% \ printglossary [type = {ignored}] \ end {document}
