I'm trying to get started with creating my own webpage, I'm planning to follow this. I've downloaded the Visual C # 2010 Express - I'm not quite at that point as far as I'm comfortable with leaving 1000 big people, and I used the Visual Web Developer 2010 Express for WPInstaller Is installed through.
Through the tutorial, the fact is that I do not get the option of creating a "web control library", which I have filled up is a difference, I use sn.exe tools (or "Visual Studio 2005 commands Prompt ") I'm unable to find! ).
I know that this is not a question of direct programming, but I am still unable to talk!
Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Edit: -
I think I can jump a lot of guns, I wrote a simple hello world example and tried to make it but there is no reference to it Microsoft.SharePoint
package and they do not appear in my lists.
Do I understand some other research that I have done (i.e.) properly, can I really make it a complete establishment of actual sharepoint on that machine?
Net Framework SDK Tool - Not really a part of Visual Studio.
If you have installed SDK (which I think if you are using VS) then it will be in a directory (based on the version of the NAT SDK you have installed)
C: \ program files \ microsoft.net \ sdk \ v2.0 \ bin
You can develop SharePoint Web Parts with VS Express but You will not be able to use extensions such that your life can make a little easier Yes.
You do not develop on a machine with SharePoint installed on it - you can simply install the Microsoft.SharePoint.dll assembly from a machine on which it has been installed and it is referred to in your project has gone.
Professional and cons to develop on a SharePoint machine.
- It's easy to get started - especially debugging locally instead of remote debugging
- To ensure that you have the code 'real server' - do you Sure you do not have any dependencies that can not be installed
- Difficult to work with multiple versions of SharePoint (2007 WSS and MOSS and 2010 Foundation, Server etc.)
If you install SharePoint locally then
- You can install Windows Server OS with SharePoint and Visual Studio.
- To install SharePoint 2007 on Vista, a hack (referenced in the article that you link)
- You can install SharePoint Foundation 2010 on Windows 7 (But I'm not sure what the licensing restrictions are - is it possible that is given through MSDN?)
If you go with remote server installation If you decide, save yourself some sadness and virtualization such as VMware Server, Virtual PC or Hyper-V Use
