requirements - What are supported clients for an asp.net webpage? -

I am trying to write an ASP document.

.net website and I am unsure what should I call client support.

Are there limits to browsers for asp.net? I've used IE and Firefox does not work with other browsers (Chrome or Safari)? Should I say that the client is limited to any specific OS (I hope to work with Mac or a Linux box)?

When you can definitely limit "support" to a subset of web clients, you can At least this, all modern web browsers should be able to work to a more or a lesser extent. The difference with the web browser is actually higher compared to the web site. As far as dynamic behavior is concerned, I suggest going with a JavaScript framework that already detects the difference between major browsers. CSS is more problematic, but you will still be able to feel and feel the same, although it can take some work despite knowing what problems you have, how difficult it is to know how you solve them. As such, I will target and check 8/7, Firefox, and Safari (or Chrome). You can throw as much in the opera, though my experience is that if you get FF, then you have already got it already to work for opera.

If you are having trouble receiving the generated HTML, the way you want it, you can try using ASP.NET MVC. This gives you more control over your HTML. It can be really valuable in creating the things you want, however, the webform code can be clearly made to work as well. Occasionally, however, you have to jump through some hoops so that you behave the way you want, because web control is not always produced for you and what you will do in every situation.
