asp.net mvc - A suitable MVC / MOSS 2010 Architecture -

We are currently acquiring 2007 for a site facing a Enterprise Internet. With the MOSS 2007 used for CSS aspects, the main functionality of the site has been exposed using fast search. We find that the performance and development experience inside the moss has been quite painful.

We are planning to migrate to Moss 2010, but this plan is to use only as a data store and to differentiate architecture, an MVC Web Application Front End, which is for data Has been used as a repository. The moss administration will remain the same, but our front end rendering / logic will be a lightweight aspnet mvc site.

Do you really appreciate others' opinions as an idea?
