sharepoint - Multi-step Workflows: make Workflow A depend on results of Workflow B and/or Workflow C -
We have worked with creating a software installation approval section for our intranet. When a person requests that their workstation But if a particular piece of software is installed, then we have to get IT approval and then have to approve the business. Once it has been received, it has to be installed.
I am using Sharepoint Designer to do this. I have a list, where the user records information on the requested software. Workflow A then works in List B, which is assigned to the IT applicant. Workflow B works on List B on item B, setting due date, title and other fields, and then pauses by due date. The IT applicant works on behalf of the business and completes the work. List B. When the work is done, the item must be marked fully in List A - I have to do everything right at this point.
I want to make it stronger than two ways, as is the only real alternative, marking the list B function as "complete", which essentially means "approved", we have Actually there is no way to reject a request. The option I want to add is the option to approve or reject a request through the work on List B. If I have been approved, then in item A, in the "progress" with the custom status of "acceptance" I want to continue showing, and I want to create a new job for software installation; Once the installation has been completed after the completion of the work, then I want the list A to show "complete" with the status of "install". If it has been rejected, then I should show the item as "full" in List A with the status of "Disapproved". The problem is, I'm also not sure where to start these modifications. Creating and modifying custom status fields is not a big issue - I'm nervous with it and I believe I can do this easily. My main concern is that I know that I will need workflow, but I do not know where or how to trigger this to get results.
I have been working on workflow A and B, but anything beyond this is actually rejecting the limits of my knowledge. It is obvious that I am rather new to the Sharepoint workflow. There was a lot of emphasis and I still get my way. Thanks in advance for any help!
It was understood that I should answer this question because it is surprising that the answer is The tutorial is essentially modified after two stages of the request to modify and modify it: For an approval, one for the installation.
