internet explorer - The ultimate browser testing machine -

What will be the ultimate web application browser compatibility testing machine? Test environment (XP: IE 6, FF 3.6), (XP: IE7, Chrome), (XP: IE 8, Safari), (Mac OSX: Safari, FF 3.6, Chrome), (Ubuntu: FF 3.6, Chrome)

Of course, I want all this in one machine, my initial idea was to use MacOSX as a host machine and use a virtual box for installing 3 XP and a Ubuntu on it. Was there.

> Do you think this is an optimal solution? Do you have any better solution to above?

Update: This test machine will be in a network. I also need the functionality of these three from my VM:

  1. The test machine should be able to do VNC through the network

  2. All VM examples need to be able to reach the local network. Anyway, I should be able to test (to test network caching and proxy) using a third party Internet Provider.

  3. < I use Mac OS X and 64-bit VMware fusion, and I usually use Mac from Ubuntu plus 3 Windows Tastes (with IE 6, Vista with IE 7 and Win 7 with IE8) I run 9, a taste OS IE level, however It became too much maintenance, so I put it down. I found out that if there were problems with a browser, which were not usually related to the OS, or at least I was not often enough to take care of me.
