php mysql search in 2 columns in 2 tables -


I have a DB, two cottages, and what is called the hotel, they have the same fields in both the tables.

I have basically a search bar, which I want to find in both tables in both tables (two fields called "name" and "location"

now As long as I have the name '% $ word%' or 'CONTACTS table' like '% $% term', 'cottage from $ sql = mysql_query' (select '*) * LIMIT 0, 30' );

But it only searches for cottage tables, how can I find both cottages and hotel tables?
