Should I use a local copy of jquery, or should I link to a copy provided by Google or Microsoft? I'm mainly concerned about the speed I've heard that there may be performance advantages just about dragging content from other domains, how the browser has limited the connection. In particular, has anyone fixed the speed and latency of Google vs Microsoft versus local?
In addition, do I have to agree to any conditions or licenses to link to a third party?
One advantage is that a user can already cache it because another site from the third party Is also attached.
I am using Google for this and have not had any problems with it so far. You can easily use jQuery:
& lt; Script type = "text / javascript" src = "http://www.google.com/jsapi" & gt; & Lt; / Script & gt; & Lt; Script type = "text / javascript" & gt; Google.load ("jquery", "1.4"); & Lt; / Script & gt;
